Chelsea came back from a two-goal deficit to hold relegation-threatened Ipswich Town to a 2-2 draw. Julio Enciso and Ben Johnson helped the Tractor Boys take a 2-0 lead in the first half, but Axel Tuanzebe's own goal brought the Blues back into the match. Sancho then scored the equaliser in the 79th minute with a thunderous striker to seal an important point for his club.

After his brilliant performance at Stamford Bridge, manager Maresca provided an update on the English winger's future. Sancho joined Chelsea from Manchester United on loan last summer, and the deal included a mandatory purchase clause should they finish 14th or higher in the Premier League, with a fee ranging between £22-25 million based on their final position. The West London side, however, could consider against buying the player permanently in the next transfer window.

WHAT ENZO MARESCA SAID

Speaking at his post-match press conference, the Italian coach said: "Yeah, no, he's doing well. Today we decided to start with Pedro and Noni. Noni is back from injury, scored twice the other day. Pedro is doing well. And Jadon is playing almost every game.

"The idea was just to refresh a little bit with him, knowing that he's going to give us a good moment, goal assist, and he'll show himself in the second half. Then for the future, to be honest, now is the moment. With one month to go, it's just the focus. It's about how we can finish, and then we have time to decide."

AFPWHAT NEXT FOR CHELSEA?

Maresca's men will be back in action in the midweek as they take on Legia Warsaw at home in the second leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final fixture.
