Fulham have officially confirmed that Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez will remain with the club through the 2025–2026 season, after activating the option to extend his contract. The announcement was made this Thursday by the club’s board, following several weeks of negotiations.
Jiménez, who had expressed his desire to continue playing in the Premier League, now sees his wish fulfilled after an impressive individual campaign. The 34-year-old forward joined Fulham in the summer of 2023 from Wolverhampton Wanderers and, after a slow start, has become a key figure in Marco Silva’s attacking setup.
This season has marked a resurgence for the Mexican international. He has found the back of the net 13 times across all competitions — 11 of those coming in the Premier League — making him Fulham’s top scorer for the 2024–25 campaign.
Jiménez revealed that he had received offers from both Major League Soccer and clubs in Saudi Arabia, but ultimately chose to remain in the Premier League to stay at the highest competitive level. The Mexican striker also emphasized that one of his main goals is to reach the 2026 FIFA World Cup in peak form.
“I want to be at my best for the World Cup in 2026,” Jiménez said, reaffirming his ambition to continue representing Mexico on the international stage.

The extension will see Jiménez complete at least three seasons in West London. Fulham praised his recent form in the official announcement, emphasizing his leadership in the goal charts and consistency in domestic competitions. The striker has also scored once in the FA Cup and once in the Carabao Cup.
Jiménez’s renewal signals his commitment to competing at the highest level for as long as possible, delaying any potential return to Liga MX or a move to Major League Soccer. For Fulham, his presence offers experience, finishing ability, and a veteran voice in a squad aiming to climb higher in England’s top flight.
