The Blues are keen to make another forward signing before the Club World Cup begins next week, after Jadon Sancho's loan spell from Manchester United came to an end. Bild in Germany report that the deal could move rapidly this week.

It had initially been reported that Gittens' release clause sits at roughly €67m. Bild state that the figure is much higher than €60m – but that Dortmund may still be happy to sell for around that amount after the winger's average performances in the second half of the 2024-25 season.
