A spokesperson told : "We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of aprohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA’s Anti-Doping Regulations. As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time."

Mudryk has already lost his No.10 shirt to Cole Palmer at Chelsea and looks set for a lengthy time out of the game. The Ukraine star has previously said the positive test "came as a complete shock" and that he did not "knowingly use any banned substances or broke any rules". Mudryk has since employed the same legal firm as Paul Pogba to help him with his case. Pogba saw his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months on appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
